In my first year of college I was set a project named the organics project and I decided to look at trees as, no tree is identical to another. This would help me to experiment with different fabrics and it's easy to get varied photographs of them. So, I decided to go on a trip to Lymm Dam, whilest I was there I took many photographs and had a lot to look at. I used these to make mood boards as, you can see one off these above. Also, I collected twiggs, leaves etc from aroun the dam so that i could sketch from them.
This is one of the compositions I drew from.
I then went onto researching online and found a tribal fashion show created by the Surma and Musi tribes of Africa's Omo Valley, in these they used various plants and natural resoures to create amazing head pieces.
After, researching the tribal fashion show i looked at Max Mara, Charlotte Taylor, Ben Brotherton, Peter Pan and Ngila Dickson.

As, I didnt make a garment for this project I, focused on making my samples detailed. The step i went to making the samples was first sketching one of the trees that i seen then making the sample from this. The final step was a fashion Illustration.
